The Holy Spirit   Leave a comment

The Holy Spirit
By Andrew Wommack
There are few things more controversial in the body of Christ than the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the accompanying gifts.

Much of modern-day Christianity sees the born-again experience as all there is to salvation. Many Christians oppose the belief that there is a separate experience of being filled with the Holy Spirit, and they especially oppose the validity of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for today’s believers.

That type of belief puts them in conflict with the book of Acts and the very teaching of Jesus. Those who experience the power of the Holy Spirit today are labeled as fanatics or heretics. But what does the Bible have to say? What did Jesus say about this?

On the night before Jesus’ crucifixion, He made one of the most astounding statements of His whole ministry. John 16:7 records these words:

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

Grasp what Jesus is saying! Jesus said it is more beneficial for us to have the ministry of the Holy Spirit than it was to have Jesus present with us in His physical body!

Most Christians are totally shocked by this. They would give anything to have Jesus present in His physical body. How could anything be better than to physically see, hear, and touch Him?

Jesus knew His disciples would be shocked by His statement, so He prefaced it with the words, “I tell you the truth.” As hard as it may be to understand, the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer is better than the earthly ministry of Jesus.

This is not to take anything away from His ministry on this earth. Without Jesus coming to the earth and accomplishing what He did, there could be no ministry of the Holy Spirit. The whole plan of God hinges on the redemptive work of Christ.

But, once His work was done, it was actually to our advantage to have Jesus return to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to take His place. Therefore, we shouldn’t lessen the preeminence of Jesus, but we should increase the importance of the Holy Spirit’s ministry.

Most Christians don’t realize how involved the Holy Spirit is in everything that the Lord does. They do not ascribe nearly enough importance to the Holy Spirit and what He is doing in the earth today. In Genesis 1:1-2, the Bible says,

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

In the beginning, God created all the elements needed for His creation. Then, everything else was formed from what had already been created. All the essential ingredients were in place. But nothing happened without the Spirit of God.

Notice specifically that the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) moved upon the face of the waters. The English word moved was translated from the Hebrew word “rachaph.” It literally means “to brood.” This is describing the manner of a hen sitting on her eggs to hatch them.

The Holy Spirit was brooding over the creation of God just waiting to bring forth whatever God the Father said. When the Lord said “Let there be light” (Gen. 1:3), then the power of the Holy Spirit brought that light into being. Likewise, with everything the Lord created and made, it was the power of the Holy Spirit that brought it all into existence.

God the Father conceived it. Jesus spoke it. And the Holy Spirit was the power that performed it. Everything God did in His creation was accomplished through the power of the Holy Spirit. When God the Father was ready to bring Jesus into the earth, He took the spoken Word (Jesus), the Holy Spirit brooded over Mary (a virgin), and she conceived Jesus’ physical body.

This perfectly illustrates the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are one. In fact, they are so much one that they can’t operate independent of each other. They are a team. Jesus didn’t do any miracles or start His public ministry until after He had been anointed with the Holy Spirit.

If Jesus couldn’t, or wouldn’t, operate independently of the Holy Spirit, neither should we. No one can have an effective life or ministry without the power of God’s Holy Spirit working in him or her. This fact can’t be argued by anyone who truly believes the Bible is God’s Word. The Scriptures are replete with proof that it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zech. 4:6).

So, why is there so much debate over this issue? The sad truth is that denial of the ministry and power of the Holy Spirit is a convenient theology. Believing that miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit don’t operate today excuses powerless living. If it’s true that the Holy Spirit is still willing to move as in biblical times (and it is true), then there is no excuse for living lives so far removed from the victory portrayed in God’s Word.

The number one reason people resist the ministry of the Holy Spirit is because it exposes the lack of power in their lives. And once exposed, it demands a change. In an attempt to avoid responsibility for change, they change the Scriptures instead of themselves. Of course, it’s not that blatant, but there is a predisposition against the ministry of the Holy Spirit, so the Scripture is twisted to support their views.

It’s now politically correct to say that alcoholics are not responsible for their actions, depression is a chemical imbalance, and homosexuality is genetic. We’ve even had lawsuits where overweight people sue fast-food chains for their obesity. No one wants to admit that their lives are the result of their choices and actions. It’s appealing to think that someone else is at fault for their messed up lives. Sadly, the lack of personal responsibility in our society has crept into the attitudes of the church.

But, the ultimate attempt to avoid responsibility is when we place the blame on God. This goes all the way back to Adam when he said, “It’s that woman that YOU gave me” (Gen. 3). He passed the “buck” to the woman and then ultimately blamed God. But God’s judgment shows that He held Adam responsible for his own actions.

Another group of Christians willingly accept a limited ministry of the Holy Spirit as their comforter and consoler, but they still deny His miraculous power. That’s convenient, the benefits without the responsibility. These are usually the ones who also believe there isn’t a second experience with the Holy Spirit beyond being born again. They may be sincere in their beliefs, but they are sincerely wrong.

There are many clear examples in Scripture where a miraculous encounter with the Holy Spirit enabled believers to live supernatural lives. Jesus taught about two separate experiences in the believer’s life.

In John 20:28, Thomas confessed Jesus as his Lord and God. That made him “saved” according to Romans 10:9-10. Yet, the Lord told Thomas and all the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they received the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4). The reason Jesus told them to wait on the baptism of the Holy Spirit was because they didn’t have it yet. Look what happened to the disciples once they received that power. They were changed men.

Jesus said it this way in Acts 1:8,

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

After the Day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus’ disciples, they were powerful. They faced persecution and death fearlessly. What made the difference? By Jesus’ own words, it was the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

In Acts 8, Philip preached to the Samaritans, and the whole city believed on Jesus and was baptized in water. They were saved. But Acts 8:15-16 says,

“Who, when they [the apostles] were come down, prayed for them [the Samaritans], that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus)” (brackets mine).

This is a very clear example of people being born again but still needing to receive the Holy Spirit. This can also be witnessed in Acts 19. Paul found disciples who were not baptized in the Holy Spirit. He prayed for them, and they spoke with tongues.

Spirit filled, but no tongues!

There are other believers who acknowledge a second experience with the Holy Spirit which releases power, but they refuse the part of speaking in tongues, or at least say it’s not for everyone. But the baptism of the Holy Spirit is like a pair of tennis shoes: It always comes with tongues.

I guess it’s possible to have the baptism of the Holy Spirit and not speak in tongues, but why wouldn’t you want to? If you’re afraid, don’t be! There’s no reason to fear; you’re in full control. I’m not speaking in tongues as I write this, because it’s up to me to decide when I speak in tongues. It’s the same for you. You’ll control when you speak in tongues.

Maybe there’s something else that is holding you back. I know from experience that a person whose understanding of this gift isn’t right can stifle it. I did. In my case, a denomination had instilled such fear in me that I was afraid I would get something from the devil. It wasn’t until later that I learned the Lord wouldn’t let that happen (Luke 11:13).

Whether you’re not sure or just having a problem receiving, my teaching entitled The Holy Spirit will answer your questions and set you free to receive this powerful gift. My life was completely changed when I received the Holy Spirit. If it were not for that, you would never have heard of Andrew Wommack.

Here is a little of my personal story; it may help you. In 1957 I was born again at the age of eight. I loved God and served Him to a degree, but was basically powerless. I prayed six months for my Dad to be healed, but he died when I was only twelve years old. As a young man, I was introverted, timid, and so shy I couldn’t look people in the face when talking to them.

There wasn’t any difference between me and an unbeliever in terms of visible results. If I would have been arrested for being a Christian, there wouldn’t have been enough evidence to convict me.

Then, on March 23, 1968, I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. My life was transformed instantly. Before the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I was in fear; afterward, I was as bold as a lion (Prov. 28:1). My love for the Lord went through the roof. It wasn’t me living anymore, but Christ was living through me.

My life wasn’t perfect then and still isn’t now. But receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit opened up a whole new, dynamic relationship with the Lord. You would never have heard of me if I hadn’t received the second work of the Holy Spirit, which the Bible calls the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It’s my desire to see you experience that same power of the Holy Spirit and the gifts that come with it.

My teaching, The Holy Spirit, is now available in book form, as well as in a CD or tape album. This is the same material I give to those who receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit at our Gospel Truth Seminars. It takes them from “A” to “Z” in the doctrine of this experience and shares very practical steps on how to receive the gift of speaking in tongues. Hundreds of people who were having trouble speaking in tongues were able to receive after reading the book or listening to this teaching. Every one of you knows people who haven’t received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and this teaching could forever change their lives.

OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS IN CHRIST – From Andrew Wommack Ministries

Matthew 22:11 "And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:"

MATTHEW 22:8-14

In this time, it was customary for the host to provide their guests with wedding garments to wear to the wedding. It was an insult of the highest degree to refuse to wear the clothing provided since the guests were brought in directly from the highways and streets. The wedding garment speaks of the righteousness of Christ that God so graciously provides for all who accept His invitation into the kingdom. It must be put on by both good and bad (Mt. 22:10).

Right standing before a holy God is not to be achieved in keeping the law but in humble trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ. No one, who is trusting in his own righteousness, can have the benefit of Christ’s righteousness. The righteousness that gives men relationship with God is the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, and it comes freely through faith in Jesus Christ.

The way we obtain this righteousness is by putting faith in what Christ has done for us. When we place our faith in Christ, then the righteousness that Jesus obtained by His faith becomes ours.

Through faith in Jesus, we can receive the very righteousness of God as a gift. God’s righteousness is infinitely more in quality and quantity than man’s puny righteousness. No one can ever be justified in the sight of God based on his own righteousness which comes through acts of holiness. One must have God’s righteousness which only comes through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. Paul said in PHILIPPIANS 3:9, "AND BE FOUND IN HIM, NOT HAVING MINE OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHICH IS OF THE LAW, BUT THAT WHICH IS THROUGH THE FAITH OF CHRIST, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS OF GOD BY FAITH." THIS IS "THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD."

Over-the-Top Good News!

Creflo Dollar

Have you ever heard something that was just too good to be true? Well, there is some news that seems too good to be true, but it’s the ultimate truth. Let me tell you what it is: The Gospel of Christ is the Gospel of grace. There is no other Gospel! Grace is the entire Gospel! In Galatians 1:6-7, Paul writes, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”

The word Gospel means nearly too good to be true news. Grace is the unmerited, undeserved, favor of God, which you didn’t earn, work for, or deserve, that He wants to lavish upon you. In times past, when we heard Gospel, it was a general reference to the whole Bible. However, the Gospel is not the whole Bible. We also treated grace like it was a subject, or a curriculum. But grace is a Person! Grace and truth came in the Person of Jesus Christ (John 1:17). The grace message is the genuine Gospel, which is over-the-top good news!

So why is the Gospel of grace seemingly too good to be true? Because of Christ, God is showing up and making men righteous, without them having to work to earn righteousness (Romans 5:19). You’ve been made the righteousness of God, not because of the goodie-goodie things you’ve done, but because you believed in Jesus, and therefore, you were made righteous. That’s too-good-to-be-true news!

God has forgiven you of your sins-past, present, and future! He is not imputing sin on you (2 Corinthians 5:19). When you sin, He’s not charging it to your account. The grace of God has shown up to solve the sin problem. That’s too-good-to-be-true news!

Christ died for the whole world, which means salvation is available to everyone (1 Thessalonians 5:9). He offered to save you when you knew there was absolutely nothing you could possibly do to deserve salvation. He showed up and gave you something that was too good to be true!

When you get a revelation of God’s grace, it will set you free. Free from condemnation, free from guilt, free from beating yourself up, free from the fear of dying and going to hell. People don’t go to hell because of sin; they go to hell because they reject Jesus (Psalm 9:17)! That’s the Gospel! That’s over-the-top good news!

Then, on top of all that, God says, I’ll heal and deliver you! I’ll set you free! I’ll prosper you! I’ll do all those things you’ve been trying to work to deserve and earn. In return, all He needs you to do is believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ (John 19:30).

So whenever you think you don’t deserve what God wants to do for you, remind yourself that you have been given an abundance of undeserved favor (Romans 3:24, AMP). The Gospel of grace has made available to you everything that pertains to life and godliness. That’s over-the-top good news!

Are you ready to receive some over-the-top good news? You’ve been made the righteousness of God by faith in Christ Jesus! Period!

WORSHIP FROM YOUR HEART – From Andrew Wommack Ministries

Mark 14:3 "And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head."

MARK 14:3-6

The spikenard was a fragrant plant, and its roots were used in Jesus’ day to make an aromatic, costly perfume and ointment. The plant, itself, grows in the Himalaya mountains at an elevation of 11,000 to 17,000 feet. For centuries, it was used by Hindus as a medicine and perfume and was an actively traded commodity. Its great cost stemmed from that it had to be transported over 6,000 miles to reach Palestine, and depending on quality, it sold for as much as 400 denarii per pound (or $750 an ounce, is the modern purchasing equivalent). That made it more valuable than gold. This ointment was worth at least two and one-half times more than the thirty pieces of silver that Judas received for betraying the Lord, which is why Judas was so upset. This perfume was worth two and one-half times what Judas thought Jesus was worth.

Judas didn’t care about the poor. He wanted to have the money that the perfume could have been sold for in his bag (he was the treasurer for Jesus) so he could steal it. This is a very serious crime that Jesus no doubt knew about, but scripture never mentions Him confronting Judas.

Judas’ reaction to this act of pure worship is typical of the reaction toward worship of many people today. Judas and some of the other disciples, thought this was a waste. That was only because they didn’t value Jesus as highly as Mary did. Mary had seen Jesus raise her brother from the dead and her heart was overflowing with love and worship. The disciples were looking on the outward things while Jesus was looking at Mary’s heart (1 Sam. 16:7). Those who cannot see beyond the physical realm will be offended at others’ displays of worship. True worship comes from the heart.

You Are A Son And An Heir Of God   Leave a comment

You Are A Son And An Heir Of God – From Joseph Prince Ministries

Galatians 4:6–7-And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Perhaps these questions have been popping into your head lately: “If You are a Christian, why are you sick? If your heavenly Father is so wonderful, why do you have so many problems? Doesn’t your God help you, His child?”

And if you have been tempted to ask, “God, I am Your child. Why is this happening to me?” know that Jesus knows exactly how you feel because 2,000 years ago, the devil played the same trick on Him—“If you are the Son of God…” (Matthew 4:3) You see, the devil’s intention was to make Jesus doubt His Sonship, and the devil wants to do the same thing to you today.

He wants to destroy the Spirit of sonship in you and in the body of believers. He knows that once you really believe that you are a son of God, something happens—you begin to live life as “an heir of God through Christ”.

As a son and an heir of God, you inherit all the blessings of God which Jesus died to give you, including salvation, healing, provision, wholeness, favor, intimacy with God and answered prayers. And Jesus rose from the dead to make sure that what He died to give you, you get. He is alive today to enforce this rich, blood-bought inheritance in your life!

My friend, you are an heir of God through Christ. This means that you are joint heirs with Jesus. (Romans 8:17) So His inheritance is your inheritance too!

What is provision when you are an heir of God? He owns every beast in the forest and the cattle on a thousand hills. (Psalm 50:10) All the diamonds and gold came from Him. What is healing when you are an heir of God? He is your Creator and the very breath of your life.

Beloved, enjoy every bit of your inheritance in Christ, not because you deserve it, but because it was paid for by Jesus’ blood!

Life With God is Easy and Light   Leave a comment

Life With God Is Easy And Light – From Joseph Prince Ministries

Matthew 11:28; Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

It always warms my heart to know that Jesus sees the cares we carry in our hearts. He knows the worries you have for your family and for the future. He feels the heaviness in your heart as you struggle with the sickness in your body. He says to you, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Jesus wants to give you rest. And He says that the way you receive rest is to be yoked with Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. (Matthew 11:29–30)

What does it mean to be yoked with Jesus? Imagine a pair of oxen yoked together. The younger ox sees what the lead ox does and follows. If the lead ox turns left, the younger ox turns left. If the lead ox stops, the younger ox stops. When the lead ox starts moving again, the younger ox follows. Likewise, Jesus wants us to follow His leading and flow with Him.

It is not hard to flow with Jesus because He will not lay anything heavy on you—“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:30) When you are yoked with Him and you flow with Him, you will find that there is nothing heavy-hearted, ill-fitting or burdensome from the Lord. When you flow with the Lord, you will find that things fall into place. You will not be weighed down, anxious or distressed.

You might say, “But Pastor Prince, God has given me this heavy burden. It is weighing heavily on my heart!”

My friend, if the burden is heavy, it is not from God because Jesus said that His burden is light. The devil has probably given you the burden to crush you!

“Oh, Pastor Prince, you are making light of how serious my burden is.”

No, I am not. Jesus did say that His burden is light and His yoke easy. So a life yoked with Him is anxiety- and worry-free.

Beloved, follow His leading and flow with Him, and you will find rest for your soul!

Grace to Live a Fearless Life   Leave a comment

Grace to Live a Fearless Life

by Creflo Dollar

Did you know that fear is the number-one enemy to your faith? If you allow it in your life, it will connect you with the very things you fear most. For this reason, it is absolutely vital that you uproot the spirit of fear and get it out of your life for good. Living a fearless life gives your faith free course, and allows you to access the grace of God for successful living. By eradicating fear, you are able to walk in total victory over Satan. There is a grace, or empowerment from God, to live life free from fear. You do not have to tolerate it!

The most powerful weapon of the devil is suggestion. If he can get you to receive words that oppose God’s Word in your heart, he can wreak havoc in your life. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and fear comes from hearing the words of Satan.  Because of this, it is critical that you immediately cast down every thought and suggestion that is fear-based and tap into the grace of God by declaring what God has said about you. Every time you speak the Word, you are releasing your faith and connecting to the ability to overcome fear.

The book of Job shows us that fear is a connector to the things we don’t want to happen to us. Job 3:25 says, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”  Job feared that something terrible would happen to his children. He cut a covenant with God every day out of his fear for their safety. Unfortunately, the very thing he feared would happen, did—his children all died. Not only that, Job also lost his possessions. The enemy was allowed access into his life because of his own fears.

Satan is using the same fear tactics he used back in Job’s day. By getting you to have fearful thoughts, he is able to connect you with your fears. You don’t want the things you fear to happen, but when your thoughts and words are fear-based, spiritual laws are set in motion. Satan uses your fearful thoughts and words as tools to steal, kill, and destroy your life.

Before you get discouraged, I want you to know that there is a way to get fear out of your life. The Bible says that perfected love is the key to casting out fear (1 John 4:18). Since fear is based in selfishness, when you develop in the love of God (which is the opposite of selfishness) you will begin to completely flush fear out of your life. The more you exercise love toward God and others, fear will begin to dissipate. Every time you feel it rising up in you, begin to confess God’s love for you and your love for Him. Declare that you possess the grace to walk in love at all times. God’s power and comfort is immediately available to you when you release your faith.

Fear can take many forms. For example, worry is a form of fear. Criticism, inferiority, and even the negative expression of anger are all fear-based. Sometimes parents can operate in fear and not even realize it when they are overly protective where their children are concerned.  Instead of worrying and being afraid that something bad will happen to them, pray for them, speak positive confessions over their lives, and believe that their lives are redeemed from destruction.

So who do you believe? Do you believe the words of Satan and the negative reports that you hear, or do you believe God and His Word?  If you find your mind being bombarded by fearful thoughts, recognize that they are coming from the enemy, not God. Cast them down by speaking what God has said in His Word, and be selective about the words you allow yourself to receive. This may mean separating yourself from people who plant seeds of fear, doubt, and worry in your mind. Do what you have to do to remain fear-free.

In these last days, fear will be at an all-time high. In fact, the Word says that men’s hearts will fail them because of fear (Luke 21:26). Guarding against this wicked spirit is going to be a key to having victory over it.

Remember that God’s grace working in your life will keep you from going down the path of fear. When you know God loves you, it becomes very difficult to fear anything. Whether it is protection, healing, or deliverance in some area of your life, continue to believe the love of God more than anything you see or hear in this natural world.

Renewing your mind with the Word of God is critical. God will give you the answers you seek, and His peace will rule in your heart. When you allow His Word to control your thinking, He will eradicate worry and fear. David said in Psalm 34:4, “I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him [of necessity and on the authority of His Word], and He heard me, and delivered me from all of my fears” (Amplified Bible).  You must believe that He will deliver you from all your fears.

Any fear you have must submit to the Word of God. Jesus told us to speak to mountains, and they would have to obey us. You can speak to the mountain of fear in your life. Tell fear what the Word of God says about it—it will have to leave. You can live a fearless life.

Remain Steadfast in the Faith   Leave a comment

Remain Steadfast In The Faith – From Joseph Prince Ministries

1 Peter 5:8–9; Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith…

When I was a teenager, I was taught that if I wanted to resist the devil, I had to rebuke him. So whenever an evil thought came to my mind or I was tempted, I found myself saying, “I resist you, devil, in Jesus’ name! I bind you, devil! Go away from me, devil! I rebuke you in Jesus’ name!”

This went on until God showed me one day that though I had “resisted” the devil, I had spent more time talking to him than to God! I was more conscious of the devil than of God throughout the day.

I checked the Word of God and realized that we resist the devil not by focusing on resisting him, but by being established in the faith that we are made right with God through Jesus’ blood, that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Yes, the devil will continue to remind you of your mistakes, failures and sins. And he will tell you that because of these things, you cannot receive your healing, that you will have to pay for your mistakes or that something bad will happen to your family. He will accuse you, condemn you and try to persuade your heart to believe that he can do bad things to you.

But the truth is that the devil cannot enforce anything in your life if he cannot persuade your heart. And your heart cannot be persuaded if it is “steadfast in the faith”, if it is established in righteousness. God says that once you are established in righteousness, “You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you”. (Isaiah 54:14)

So now that my heart is established in righteousness, I can boldly declare, “Yes, I may have these problems in my life, but I am not guilty in God’s eyes. I am justified in God’s eyes by faith because of what Christ has done. I am righteous by Jesus’ blood!” My friend, that is how you resist the devil and become undevourable!

The Heart of Many Colors   Leave a comment

Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV); Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Colors in a Heart:

clip_image002

On 7/10/2012 my grand-daughters Angel and Sanai were coloring inside a heart. I noticed them coloring different colors. But I really noticed Angel’s picture because she was being very detailed in her colors and where she put them (see above picture). I thought it was weird that she was drawing many colors and not one color. But I just assumed that was her being artistic in her 4 year old mind. She had several colors but I noticed her coloring black inside the heart. I started to stop her (because black represents evil) but the Lord Jesus told me “no, let her”. Then He started telling me so many of us have so many things in our heart that makes it hard for us to serve Him. We have colors that represent good and some colors that represent evil. But if we don’t deal with the evil, it will over take us. Good and evil cannot dwell in one place. It’s like we cannot serve God and satan. Although there is a portion of good, it will be so small for us to even realize it’s there. We need to be healed in our hearts through Jesus Christ; who is the Bishop of our souls (1 Peter 2:25).

The Lord Jesus said there is so much in the hearts of His people that is killing them. Which they have allowed to remain; even after salvation. Some have and do come to Him and trust Him for healing their heart. However, so many refuse the Lord’s treatment and continue holding on to things that only caused them more hurt, and eventually death (spiritual and natural). They feel they are justified, but they don’t realize how those things are killing them. So many have bitterness that came from being abused, molested, raped, etc. Maybe someone cheated on you. The Lord has compassion for what happened to you, but He also know those ungodly things in your heart is slowly killing you. THE FOLLOWING VERY POWERFUL AND EYE OPENING: How do you think rapist, abusers, molesters are created? Because they didn’t allow their hearts to be healed; so they followed the evil that was put in their hearts because of some painful, awful, traumatic experience that happened in their lives. It’s a cycle that continues. But you can make the choice to stop the cycle and allow Jesus to heal you. Jesus said to come as you are. He does not refuse a broken and contrite (sorrowful/remorseful) heart. If your heart isn’t remorseful, ask Him to put it in you. He will. He did it for me and He will do it for you. Jesus IS NOT a respecter of person. He has no favorites. Again, He did it for me, He WILL do it for you.

Jesus says, “Yet you try to place a small part of Me somewhere in your heart thinking that will do it. It will not. I need your whole heart and not some. I CANNOT heal you if you won’t let Me have your whole heart. My relationship with you is hindered and I am your God. Your Lord and SAVIOR. The only One who can help you. I am not an evil God; I am a loving God. Look at your true enemy; satan. You listen to satan and allow yourself to be angry even with Me because of what happened to you. If you allow Me to heal you, you will know Me as your Healer. Let Me take out the bitterness, help you to forgive, take out the hatred, lust, jealously, envy, strife, pride, shame, love of money, disobedience, rebellion; all of it. You cannot survive with just a little of Me in your heart. Trust Me and believe I will heal you.”

Proverbs 23:7; For as he thinketh, in his heart so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV); Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Let’s not hide evil in our heart. The Lord God knows what’s in it already:

Jeremiah 17:9-10; (KJV); The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Hebrews 4:12; For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Romans 8:27 (NKJV); Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

1 Corinthians 14:25 (NKJV); And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.

Psalm 44:21; Shall not God search this out? For He knoweth the secrets of the heart.

HOW TO GET HEALED IN YOUR HEART: Give your heart to Jesus. In order for us to be healed in our hearts, we have to allow God to show us the things in our heart. God tells us to have a broken and contrite (repentant) heart. Let Him show you everything that’s ungodly in your heart and go to His Word. When you read His Word, read it knowing He loves you and it’s used to free you. The devil uses the Word of God to accuse and bind you. When you read the Word of God knowing everything He tells you is in love, you will receive it. Pray before you read and ask Him to help you believe and receive His help. John 14:1; Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.

Psalm 51:17 (Amplified Bible); My sacrifice [the sacrifice acceptable] to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart [broken down with sorrow for sin and humbly and thoroughly penitent (repentant; sorry; regretful)], such, O God, You will not despise.

***Beloved, I beg you to heed to this warning. We have to be extremely careful not to justify our actions because a wrong was committed toward us. Jesus have compassion on what was done to you, but also know how justifying your actions will damage you. When we justify and make excuses why our hearts are the conditions it’s in, we are not allowing ourselves to be sorry or have sorrow for our actions. We make excuses for why we are the way we are. That keep changes from taking place. That keeps the Lord from helping you.

GOD CAN WORK WITH US IS WE HAVE A SORROWFUL HEART… PRIDE REMOVES ANY CHANCE TO BE SORROWFUL… PRIDE CAUSES YOU TO MAKE EXCUSES AND JUSTIFIES WHY YOUR HEART IS IN THE CONDITION IT’S IN…

Psalm 34:18 (KJV); The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Hebrew meaning for SAVETH is: To be safe; To free; Avenging, defend, deliver, help, preserve, rescue, be safe, bring (having) salvation, save(-iour), get victory.

How to get delivered from all that’s ungodly in our hearts is to allow God to heal us. Believe in His Words and His promise. When we doubt God we are calling Him a liar and we know He is not. God has done nothing to us but love us. Everything He does is for us. Forgiving the trespasses you carry in your heart is apart of salvation. Healing hurts; but in the end, you walk in victory. The truth of the matter is, if you continue in this state, you will ALWAYS suffer. Why suffer for unrighteous sake??? Are we going to suffer for doing evil and end up in hell or suffer for righteousness and go to HEAVEN. Let’s chose Heaven. Let’s chose eternal glory; eternal love; eternal peace; eternal freedom. What satan has to offer us is eternal suffering; eternal torment; eternal hate; eternal burning; eternal death. That enemy, satan will offer you things that makes you feel good in the flesh, which only brings spiritual and physical death. What satan brings make us feel good in our flesh and sometimes make us feel like we’ve overcome. BUT THAT’S A LIE. He blinds us with these things to lure us into hell with him. Misery do love company and that exactly what satan is; a miserable, evil, ugly spirit who hates every last one of us. That evil devil is jealous of us because we have to opportunity to go to Heaven. That’s a privilege he LOST; now he is like a whining brat, mad because he can’t have it his way; so he wants to take Heaven away from us. Why continue serving evil (satan) when we can have what God offers. So we’ll go through temporary sufferings on earth. Sometime the healing process may hurt. But the rewards for our sufferings is greater than ALL the money and things in the world satan offers us.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (NKJV); For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in Heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Psalm 112:7 (KJV); He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

With all that said, let’s trust God to take out those things in our hearts which only take us from Him. Let’s rebuke pride so we can have a broken and contrite heart which will allow God access to come in and heal.

What ever is in your heart; NO MATTER what it is, allow God to remove it. Cry out to Him; go on a fast to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke (Isaiah 58:6). Read His Word and BELIEVE. Examine yourself. Ask God to show you yourself.

GOD HAS TO HAVE OUR WHOLE HEART. If He has our whole heart, we are made whole in Him. Our hearts will have ONE COLOR and the RIGHT COLOR. Take this journey with Him so you can be made free and whole.

1 Peter 1:22-25 (NKJV); Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

As you take this journey, be encouraged. During this process, there will be some corrections; but DO NOT FRET. The Lord God chastens those He love. Have an open heart to receive His correction. When God corrects me, His love is ALWAYS there to help me through. His correction made me feel loved. God is not like man. When some people correct you, it makes you feel less and small about yourself. When God corrects and you accept it, you will not feel like you’re nothing. You’ll feel better. You’ll feel cleansed. You’ll feel free.

Revelation 3:19; As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Hebrews 12:3-11 (NKJV); For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

1 Corinthians 11:32; But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

2 Corinthians 6:9; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

We are to have the Heart of Christ. What’s found in the Heart of Christ can be read in Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV); But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

***PROMISES OF GOD IF YOU ALLOW HIM TO HEAL YOUR HEART:

Psalm 147:3 (KJV); He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Philippians 4:7 (KJV); And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 (KJV); To the end He may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

2 Thessalonians 3:5 (KJV); And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

***WHAT WILL CAN IF YOU REJECT HIM HEALING YOUR HEART: Jeremiah 13:10 (KJV); This evil people, which refuse to hear My words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.

SERVE GOD WITH YOUR WHOLE HEART:1 Samuel 12:24; Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

TAKE HEED FROM THE TEACHINGS FROM THE LORD JESUS: Hebrews 2:1; Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

Fight From Victory, Not For Victory – From Joseph Prince Ministries

Ephesians 6:11; Put on the whole amour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

God does not need you to defeat the devil today. Jesus has already done it and given you the victory. (Colossians 2:15, Romans 8:37) Your part is to enforce the victory by simply standing your ground, which is victory ground. In other words, you “fight” from victory ground by standing. You don’t fight for victory.

In Ephesians 6:10–18, the passage on spiritual warfare, the word “wrestle” appears only once (verse 12), while the word “stand” appears four times—“stand against the wiles of the devil”, “withstand in the evil day”, “having done all, to stand”, “Stand therefore”. (Verses 11, 13–14) Four times the Holy Spirit tells us to stand. Yet, many Christians are focusing on wrestling their way to victory!

My friend, you are already on victory ground. You already have everything in Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:21, 23) You are already blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3). The devil knows this. And that is why his tactic is to deceive you and make you think that you don’t have the victory.

So when he attacks you by saying, “Look at that small sum in your bank account! How are you going to pay the bills?” stand your ground. Declare, “I am not trying to be rich. I am already blessed in Christ!” It doesn’t matter how much you have in the bank. You are richly supplied because you are in Christ. And as the need arises, the supply will be there if you believe it.

It is the same with healing. The devil will try to attack you with symptoms in your body. He will try to put pain in your body, and make you feel weak here and there, so that you think that you are still sick. He is trying to make you believe that you don’t have your healing. That is the time to be conscious of Jesus’ finished work and declare, “I am not trying to get healed, I am healed! I am standing on the victory ground which Jesus has given me!”

Beloved, it makes a world of difference when you fight from victory and not for victory!
