Love of Jesus Christ   Leave a comment

Good morning all,

I’ve been studying the Love of Christ and I went back to a lesson the Holy Spirit taught me last year. As I began to read it again I saw a new revelation. Some of you may already have it, but it’s new to me. Anyway, apart of the lesson includes the scriptures about the five wise and five foolish virgins. Now, the five WISE virgins had oil and was prepared and received of the Bridegroom (Jesus) when He came. But the five foolish had none, so they were not prepared nor was received by the Lord when He came. The Lord said He didn’t know them. The Lord knows those who operate in His Love. This is the new revelation I received this morning: It is wise to walk in the Love of Jesus Christ. Who, in the right mindset would want to deliberately go to hell. No one. But so many get caught up thinking they are going to heaven based on their works, such as casting out devils, tithing, feeding the poor, etc. Although those are good works, it should be motivated by love and not to be seen, or to receive a tax break, or to get God to love you. God already loves us. The only way those wise five virgins were able to enter in with their Bridegroom was because they had oil/love in their lamps. It wasn’t their eloquent of speech, their money, their talents, not even they way they were dressed. It was because they knew it was wise to have His love/oil. His Love is the light in us. Jesus IS Love. Chose His wisdom today and love. Love those who persecute you and betray you. You can only do it with His Holy Spirit. Walking in the Spirit of God is walking in His Love.

LOVE – April, 2013

Prior to reading this Word from the Lord Jesus, I heard the Holy Spirit say “Let your light shine”. Then He began to teach me about how to love those who persecute me. Then, while reading this Word I began to see the word “oil” when I saw the words “love of Christ” in the view. You see, in times of old they needed oil to light their lamp. When the Lord comes back, He coming for those who have love in them. There’s a scripture about the 10 young virgins; 5 that were wise and 5 that were foolish. The 5 wise ones had oil for their lamp and the 5 foolish had none.

Matthew 25:1-13; “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming, go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.Romans 5:8; But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

HIS LOVE IS OUR LIGHT – From Andrew Wommack Ministries

Mark 4:21, "And He said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?"

MARK 4:21-25

Just as a candle or lamp is not to be hid, but rather displayed so that everyone can benefit from its light, so a Christian must let his light so shine before men that they might see his good works and glorify his Father which is in heaven. God has ordained us to go and bring forth fruit (Jn. 15:16). The great commission of the Church is to reach the world.

The early Christians experienced the love of Christ in an intimate and life-transforming way. This motivated them to reach their known world with the Gospel of Christ more than any other generation of Christians has since. They didn’t have the benefits of our modern technology, but they did have the benefit of being full of the love of Christ. Experiencing the love of Christ causes us to be filled with the fullness of God (Eph. 3:19) and makes us a witness that the world cannot resist (Jn. 13:35).

Today, much of the emphasis of the Church is placed on techniques of evangelism or spiritual warfare. We motivate people to witness through feelings of guilt or punishment if they don’t. Much of our evangelism has become as dead and non-productive as the efforts of the cults whose people knock on doors and argue others into their way of thinking. The Church today needs a revival of our personal relationship with the Lord. When we can truly say with Paul that the love of Christ constrains us, then we will impact our world for the Lord, too. We can’t give away what we don’t possess. We need to personally know the love of Christ in an experiential way before we try to share it with others. Let Him love you, and let His love flow through you to others. The world is hungry for love, real love.
