Saved – Grace – Faith

Ephesians 2:8-9; For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Grace – God’s free gift of favor we don’t or didn’t earn. Good will, loving-kindness, favor.

Saved – To save, keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction. To save one from injury or peril. To save a suffering one (from perishing), i.e. one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health. To preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue.

Faith – The conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and giver of eternal salvation through Christ. A strong and welcome conviction or belief that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God.

Works – Labor; Doing.

Boast – Brag; To glory in a thing.

For by God’s free gift of unmerited favor are you rescued and saved from destruction; forgiven, delivered and healed through faith in Jesus Christ; and not in or from yourselves. It is the gift of God: Not of man’s doings/labors/works, so they don’t brag and take credit for it.
