USE YOUR DELEGATED AUTHORITY – Andrew Wommack Ministries

Mark 16:18 "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

This either speaks literally of supernatural protection if we pick up a snake, or symbolically of protection in our fight against the devil. Since the other four signs in this list are literal, it is most probable that this means physically taking up snakes.

The apostle Paul experienced this supernatural protection from a viper when he was shipwrecked on the island of Melita (Acts 28:3-5). However, this is the only recorded example of this type of protection in the New Testament.

There is no record of the disciples picking up snakes just to prove they were believers. That would be tempting God (Lk. 4:9-12). This, as well as drinking any deadly thing, is a promise that if we pick up snakes accidentally or are forced into that position because of our stand for Christ, we can believe for supernatural protection.

The power that is now working in believers is the same power that worked in Christ to raise Him from the dead. Everything we have as believers in Christ comes from our union with Him. Therefore, what is true of Him is true of us too. We have come to share in Christ’s throne, to partake in the authority that the throne represents, and to exercise divine power and dominion. There is no place in the New Testament that tells us to ask God to do something about the devil. Rather, we, (the church) are told to do something about the devil. This is because we have been given delegated authority over the works of the enemy. God desires that the church be enlightened to this, and walk in victory.

Our Authority Releases God’s Power – By Andrew Wommack

There are a number of keys to seeing the miraculous power of God manifest on a consistent basis. One of the least understood, and therefore seldom practiced, is the fact that healing is under the authority of the believer. God has already provided His healing power and placed it on the inside of every born-again believer. It is up to us to release it. Understanding and using our authority is the key to seeing miracles happen.

Look at how Peter and John ministered healing to the lame man in Acts 3:1-8:

"Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God."

Notice that Peter didn’t pray for this man. He also didn’t ask God to heal him. He said, “Such as I have give I thee.” This didn’t mean that Peter was the source of this healing. Notice what Peter said in Acts 3:12,

"And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?"

It was God’s power that healed this man, but that power was under Peter’s authority. Peter went on to say in verse 16 that it was faith in the name of Jesus that had wrought this miracle. But Peter didn’t ask God to heal this man. He believed the Lord had already done His part and had placed that power within him. Now it was Peter’s responsibility to release that power, and that’s just what he did.

The Lord never told us to pray for the sick in the sense that we ask Him to heal them. He told us to heal the sick. There is a BIG difference between the two. It has to do with operating in the authority He has already given us. Look at these commands the Lord gave His disciples.

"Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick."(Luke 9:1-2)

"And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease." (Matt. 10:1)

"And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." (Matt. 10:7-8)

Jesus told us to heal the sick not pray for the sick. What a radical statement! This will get you kicked out of most churches today, but these are the exact words of our Lord Jesus Christ. And this is precisely why more people don’t see the miraculous results they’re praying for. They aren’t taking their authority and commanding God’s power; they’re passively asking God to do what He told them to do.

I know this goes contrary to popular Christian doctrine. We’re constantly told that it’s not us but God who is the Healer, and I agree with that totally. But, I also believe that God has placed His healing power under our authority, and it is up to us to release it. If we don’t take our authority and become commanders instead of beggars, God’s power will not be released. There needs to be a radical renewing of our thinking on this issue.

A good friend of mine, Dave Duell, held a meeting in Africa many years ago. It was one of his first times he saw miracles such as the blind and deaf healed. The people were so excited that they were mobbing him as he walked through the streets, trying to touch him so they could be healed. His first thought was influenced by this religious thinking I’m trying to change. He thought, They shouldn’t be looking to me. I’m not the healer; it is Jesus. He was about to stop them when the Lord spoke to him. The Lord said, “Dave, do you remember when I rode that donkey into Jerusalem, and all the people put their garments and palm branches in the way and cried, ‘Hosanna’? What would you have thought if the donkey had spoken up and said, ‘It’s not me! It’s not me’? That would only have revealed the donkey’s arrogance. No one was praising the donkey; they were praising the One that was riding the donkey.”

When Dave recognized the people weren’t trying to touch him but the One he was carrying, he let them touch him all they wanted and people were healed. This is exactly what happened with the first-century disciples. Peter had people line the streets so that if only his shadow would touch them, they would be healed (Acts. 5:15).

Look at an amazing passage of Scripture in Isaiah 45:11.

"Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me."

What a powerful scripture! What does the Lord mean when He tells us to command Him? Well, He certainly doesn’t mean we are mightier and more powerful than Him and can order Him around. He means, concerning the things He has already done, He wants us to take our authority and command His power.

It’s like electricity. The power company generates the power and delivers it to your house. It’s not your power, but it’s under your control. You don’t call the power company and ask them to turn the lights on. No! They won’t do that. They generate the power, but it’s under your command. You simply flip the switch on the wall and command the power to work. Does this mean you are the power source? Certainly not! You can put a light bulb in your mouth, and it will never come on. You aren’t the power source, but you are the one in control of what that power does. You can plead with the power company all you want, but they won’t flip the switch for you. You have to assume your authority and acknowledge the power is under your command.

That’s what the Lord was speaking of. He has already healed everyone who will ever be healed. He did it two thousand years ago when He bore our stripes on His back. Then He deposited His resurrection power inside every believer (Eph. 1:19-20). He’s done His part, and now it is up to us to do ours. We need to take the authority He has given us and become commanders instead of beggars. This is a powerful truth that works, and it’s the reason we see so many miraculous healings. We aren’t just praying for the sick; we are healing them in Jesus’ name.

I know this line of thinking raises as many questions as it does answers, so I’ve produced a teaching on The Believer’s Authority. I have some radical teachings in this album. For example, who do you think made satan? Most people think that God made satan, but that’s not so. God created Lucifer, a wonderful, powerful, godly angel, but it was mankind who made Satan. There is a difference between creating and making. This could revolutionize your whole approach toward the devil. Satan isn’t using some superhuman, angelic authority against us; he’s using the authority and power that was given to man by God. Therefore, satan can’t do anything to us without our consent and cooperation. Hallelujah!

Time To Use Your Authority – From Joseph Prince Ministries

Exodus 14:15–16; And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it…

The problem with the body of Christ today is not that we are not praying. We are praying. But many of us are praying desperate prayers. We are praying, “God, help…God, please…God, do something about my problem!”

If you are smiling a little by now, most likely, you know about such prayers and might have prayed a couple yourself. My friend, God does not want you to pray pleading prayers all the time. He wants you to use the authority He has given you to pray powerful prayers, to boldly command and to “stretch out your hand” and see miracles happen.

When Moses stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army in hot pursuit, the Bible tells us that he cried out to God. But God told him, “Why do you cry to Me?”

There is a time for you to cry out to God and there is a time for you to use your authority. God told Moses, “Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it.”

The “rod” you have today is the name of Jesus. As you command in Jesus’ name, your “sea” will open and you will go on dry ground through the midst of your problem.

Do you realize that Jesus did not say, “Go and pray for the sick”? He said, “Go and heal the sick.” (Matthew 10:8) So stop pleading and asking all the time, and start using the authority you have in Christ.

Jesus told the church, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…” (Matthew 28:18–19) My friend, God wants you to go and use the authority that He has given you. And as you go, miracles will flow!

Jesus’ Authority Has Been Given To Us -  From Joseph Prince

Matthew 28:18–19; And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…

When God created man, He gave man authority to have dominion over everything on earth. (Genesis 1:26) But when man sinned, he gave this authority to Satan. And when man’s authority was transferred to Satan, Satan brought in diseases, poverty, strife, bitterness, pain, loss and death. He messed up everything on earth for man.

“Pastor Prince, why didn’t God just grab the devil by the neck and throw him out of the garden?”

God did not do that because He is a judicial God. It was a man who gave away his authority to Satan. So it had to be a man who would legally take it back. And God has done this through a Man. His name is Jesus!

By His death on the cross, Jesus righteously restored all that man had lost. That is why, just before He went back to heaven, He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…” Those words tell us that He has transferred His authority to us. The same authority that He had over the storm, evil spirits, sicknesses, diseases and even death is now ours to use.

So when there are reports of a flu epidemic and of young children falling sick in the media, know that you have dominion over the epidemic. Declare, “By the authority given to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, this flu virus will not come near my children. I plead the blood of Jesus over them.”

If you have been told that your family has a history of heart disease, take dominion and declare, “By the authority given to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I destroy every form, manifestation and hereditary cause of this disease. By His blood, my family has been redeemed from this and every other curse.”

My friend, the authority which has been restored to us is not just the authority on earth which man had before the fall, but Jesus’ unquestionable and complete authority in heaven and on earth!

THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD   Leave a comment

THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD from our Lord Jesus given to Andrew Wommack Ministries

Luke 8:11, "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."

LUKE 8:11-15

It is through the reading of the Word and the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit that Christ in His fullness is known. What a privilege it is today to have God’s Word in our own language. Six hundred years ago there was no English translation of the whole Bible. Thanks to the efforts of John Wycliffe (1384) and William Tyndale (1523), today we are able to read and understand the writings of the apostles for ourselves. Men gave their lives to bring us God’s Word. We should take advantage of this wonderful privilege.

The piece of armor known as the "sword of the Spirit" is the only piece of armor that has the ability to cut, wound, and hurt our enemy, the devil. It’s not the Bible lying on your coffee table that makes the enemy flee, but it is the Word of God hidden in your heart, activated by the power of the Holy Spirit, and spoken in an appropriate situation. It’s similar to what is spoken when Jesus said in John 6:63, that "…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life." The Word by itself doesn’t make us free. It is the Word we know and speak that will deliver us (Jn. 8:32).

Why is the Word so effective? It’s because it is the WORD of God. It has authority, because it is indeed the WORD of God. God’s Word supersedes all authority of the church, of reason, of intellect, and even of satan himself.

It is the Holy Spirit that wields this Word as it is spoken in faith. Speaking God’s Word in faith brings the Holy Spirit into action. In Luke 4, when Jesus was tempted of the devil for forty days, it was the Word of God, that Jesus used to defeat the enemy in the time of His temptation. Jesus constantly met His temptation by quoting from God’s Word as He repeatedly stated the phrase, "It is written." Likewise, the Christian soldier must avail himself of God’s Word by placing it in his heart, so that the Holy Spirit may bring it forth at the appropriate time to accomplish a complete and total victory. It’s yours!

Luke 8:11-15; 11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. 14 Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. 15 But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

"It’s Time For The Church To Rule And Reign With Christ"   Leave a comment

This Prophetic Word is confirmation for so much the Lord has been speaking to me. After reading this, the Holy Spirit said “Decree A Thing”. I’ve heard Him speak that to me before. I looked it up and found it in Job 22:28; “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established (rise up; arise; will happen; come to pass) unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” The Word of God SHALL come to pass.

"It’s Time For The Church To Rule And Reign With Christ"

On 2-1-13, God’s Holy Presence filled the room, and the Holiness of God dealt with the people in His Spirit. So we all just surrendered to the Lord in His Presence in even deeper ways. God’s angels were also among us in the room ministering to the people. The Lord was separating us for the work that He was calling us all into that night. A Holy Consecration was happening to us all as we stood in His Presence. A new work was being born among us all.

Acts 13:2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate now for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. 3 Then after fasting and praying, they put their hands on them and sent them away. 4 So then, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia , and from [that port] they sailed away to Cyprus .

Patrick then realized that the angel Uriel had come from heaven into the meeting. God had sent him for a purpose. We then all sought God for why he had come to us tonight. Then the Lord spoke His thoughts, through the angel, to us: Susan then began to hear what the angel was saying so she came to the front and repeated what she heard:

"The Father has determined that it is time for this generation to ascend to it’s heavenly positions in Christ. The Father has determined that you understand not just the natural laws, but also spiritual laws. The Father has determined that you come into the order of the heavenly sphere, and not just the earthly sphere. But it is time to go higher this year. It is time to learn of the Courses in Heaven. It is time to learn of the positions in heaven in which you will sit in, one day. It is time to ascend and take your place. You are called to rule and reign with Christ in the Heavenlies, and on the earth. But few come higher, to learn of their full authority; to learn of their full commission in the earth."

"Enoch was one of many that have come in every generation, and now it’s your turn. It is time to desire and look into the heavenly things, with the angels. The things that have been reserved for these last days. The things that you were born for, and your purpose on this planet, is to accomplish the Father’s will in the end. It is your job to work with the heavenly host. To work with us; to work with the Father. It is your job to ascend and descend on assignment, in the heavenly realms, and on the earth. It is time to understand God’s order, the perimeter’s, the boundaries, and the laws that govern heaven, and that govern earth."

"If you are to walk in the eternal realm, you must know that there is an order to these realms, just as there is an order to the natural realm. It is time for you to function in your full capacities. It is time to learn in the Heavenly Classrooms. It is time to be taught the Divine Courses. The Father has activated and opened the portals to you, a few at a time, so that you could learn to grow up in them. So that you could grow up in the degrees of learning that will come to you. Because as you grow up in Christ, you shall also mature, you shall also function as Christ functioned in the earth, and in the heavens. For as He has authority, so do you, but you do not know it. You do not wield it. You do not enforce it. But you will, for the Father has said it is time to come, and to teach the church her role in the heavens, and in the earth. For you are divinely giving birth."

Ephesians 4:12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church), 13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

1 Corinthians 2:6 Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass away.

Ephesians 3:10 [The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere.

The Lord’s Presence increased, and He was moving deeply among us all. Susan then picked up more thoughts from the Lord and from the angel. The Lord was instructing us all corporately.

Susan: Some of the thoughts the Lord was giving to me through Uriel:

"We are at a strategic time on the earth, when men’s choices and men’s desires are becoming full blown in the earth. The things that men have wanted to rule and have dominion over, and in their courses are going head over heels to destruction. But the Lord says, that we have authority in the earth, to determine the course our home, our church, our city, our state and even of our nation. It is not just about the saints surviving what is to come, or fearing what is to come upon the earth; it is about the saints creating what is to come and to be. It is about the saints creating the true reality that God has wanted from the beginning. When the church gives up our rights of rulership to men, then we tell them to rule instead, this is what we get. But when the saints get a revelation of their scroll, of their city’s scroll, or their nation’s scroll, or whatever, we can then begin to govern that city back into the will of God through prayer, because we have authority to decree, by the authority given to us each to sit in the heavenlies with Christ and to rule from there."

"The Lord wants to train us and teach us how to rule, how to have authority, and how to change events on earth through prayer. The Lord says, He has Scrolls, but if there is no one to enforce them, who is going to do it? God gave the earth to man. Patrick read us the scripture earlier tonight:

Psalms 115:16 The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth has He given to the children of men.

It is time for the Dominion of the Church to begin, because God is bringing the dominion of men to an end. It is time for us to look into the Perfect Law of Liberty, to see what is written there, and then we are to begin to decree and to speak forth it, so the angels can create it. It is time for authority to be enforced from the Throne, and for us to begin to say, "No, our nation will go this way…..This is what we will become…..This is what will happen in the days ahead…..for we have the power to decree what will be."

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

"God is going to open the Books for us, to see what He wants to be, then we agree with what He wants to be, then heaven and earth will fully agree, then the Power of Decree will create it, and it will be enforced in heaven and on the earth, by the angels. It’s not about what we want, it is about, what is written. The Lord wants us to get with Him. He wants us to seek Him, and ask Him to open our eyes to His Books that have been reserved for our day, and let us see the things that you want to be enforced on the earth. Let us see the Laws, and the Edicts, and the Mandates that you want Legislated in the earth, and show us how to speak it, so that it can be created, so the angels can then go and bring it to pass. God is sending angels to help us, when we cry out to God, then he hears us and answers us. The angels will come at times from the Lord, to tell us what to do, and what things mean for our day."

Job 22:28 You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.

Psalms 103:20 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word.

More Scriptures regarding the angel sent to instruct us and the Books opened to us:

Daniel 9:19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, give heed and act! Do not delay, for Your own sake, O my God, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name. 20 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy hill of my God– 21 Yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the former vision, being caused to fly swiftly, came near to me and touched me about the time of the evening sacrifice. 22 He instructed me and made me understand; he talked with me and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give you skill and wisdom and understanding. 23 At the beginning of your prayers, the word [giving an answer] went forth, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved. Therefore consider the matter and understand the vision.

Daniel 10:1 IN THE third year of Cyrus king of Persia a word was revealed to Daniel, who was called Belteshazzar. And the word was true and it referred to great tribulation (conflict and wretchedness). And he understood the word and had understanding of the vision. 2 In those days I, Daniel, was mourning for three whole weeks. 3 I ate no pleasant or desirable food, nor did any meat or wine come into my mouth; and I did not anoint myself at all for the full three weeks. 4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was on the bank of the great river Hiddekel [which is the Tigris], 5 I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with pure gold of Uphaz. 6 His body also was [a golden luster] like beryl, his face had the appearance of lightning, his eyes were like flaming torches, his arms and his feet like glowing burnished bronze, and the sound of his words was like the noise of a multitude [of people or the roaring of the sea]. 7 And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision [of this heavenly being], for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them so that they fled to hide themselves. 8 So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and no strength was left in me, for my fresh appearance was turned to pallor; I grew weak and faint [with fright]. 9 Then I heard the sound of his words; and when I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in a deep sleep, with my face [sunk] to the ground. 10 And behold, a hand touched me, which set me [unsteadily] upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. 11 And [the angel] said to me, O Daniel, you greatly beloved man, understand the words that I speak to you and stand upright, for to you I am now sent. And while he was saying this word to me, I stood up trembling. 12 Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind and heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come as a consequence of [and in response to] your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me for twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief [of the celestial] princes, came to help me, for I remained there with the kings of Persia . 14 Now I have come to make you understand what is to befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is for [many] days yet to come. 15 When he had spoken to me according to these words, I turned my face toward the ground and was dumb. 16 And behold, one in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke. I said to him who stood before me, O my lord, by reason of the vision sorrows and pains have come upon me, and I retain no strength. 17 For how can my lord’s servant [who is so feeble] talk with this my lord? For now no strength remains in me, nor is there any breath left in me. 18 Then there touched me again one whose appearance was like that of a man, and he strengthened me. 19 And he said, O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you! Be strong, yes, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me. 20 Then he said, Do you know why I have come to you? And now I will return to fight with the [hostile] prince of Persia ; and when I have gone, behold, the [hostile] prince of Greece will come. 21 But I will tell you what is inscribed in the writing of truth or the Book of Truth. There is no one who holds with me and strengthens himself against these [hostile spirit forces] except Michael, your prince [national guardian angel].

We are all growing up in Christ, and are growing up into the weightier things of the Spirit, and into the fullness of the end time purposes that God has reserved for us all to be, and to accomplish in the earth. Our understanding are opening, and enlarging, and we are ready for the weightier things to now be revealed to us. It is Harvest Time!

John 5:36 But I have as My witness something greater (weightier, higher, better) than that of John; for the works that the Father has appointed Me to accomplish and finish, the very same works that I am now doing, are a witness and proof that the Father has sent Me.
