‘Lord, I Cannot, But You Can!’   Leave a comment

‘Lord, I Cannot, But You Can!’ – Joseph Prince Ministries

Philippians 2:13; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Have you ever tried to break a bad habit on your own? You probably found that when you tried to stop it by sheer willpower, you saw improvement for a while, and then bounced back to square one. Worse, you found yourself binging on the very thing that you were trying not to do. And your condition is worse than before you started your “I’m going to quit” program!

The changes were temporary because it was you doing it.

A church member who had been a chain-smoker used to believe that with willpower, he could quit smoking. He would tell himself, “If there is a will, there is a way!” But he discovered that with willpower, he could stop smoking for a week or two, and then he would succumb to the pull of nicotine again.

When he turned his life over to God and learnt about God’s grace, he told God, “I realize that I cannot stop smoking. I cannot, but You can break my habit, Lord.” And every time he lit up, he would say, “Lord, I am trying to stop smoking, but I cannot. I am trusting You.” He would even say, “I am still righteous because of Jesus’ blood.”

Well, in the very same year, all his cravings to smoke vanished! When asked how he succeeded, he would say, “It is entirely God and none of me! It is all by His grace.” This man lost all the desire to smoke. That is true transformation.

When you receive the grace of God to do for you what you cannot do, you will experience effortless and permanent change on the inside, which in turn changes your actions on the outside. The Bible tells us that God works in us to give us both the will and ability to perform what He desires. It is God who removes the old want to’s and gives us new ones. And He even gives us the power to carry them out!

Beloved, look to His grace to do what you cannot do. Say, “Lord, I cannot, but You can!” Then, what you experience will not merely be behavior modification, but true and lasting inward transformation!

God’s Will Above Ours   Leave a comment

GOD’S WILL ABOVE OURS – Andrew Wommack Ministries

Luke 9:23, "And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

MATTHEW 16:16-26; MARK 8:30-37; LUKE 9:21-27

Self-denial is an important part of the Christian life. Jesus sacrificed His life for us and He demands that we die to ourselves that we might experience the new life He has provided. We do this first by recognizing that we can’t save ourselves by our own effort and, second, by trusting God – not self – for salvation. Then daily, we need to deny our own wisdom and seek God’s wisdom and direction for our lives.

Self-denial is only good when we are denying ourselves for the singular purpose of exalting Jesus and His will for us in some area of our life. Some have made a religion out of self-denial and find pleasure in their denial – not in Jesus’ lordship. This leads to legalism and bondage, which Paul condemned as will worship (Col. 2:23). We are told not only to deny ourselves, but to "deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus."

The cross is what Jesus died on. There are circumstances in our lives which, like the cross of Jesus, give us the opportunity to die to ourselves each day. These are not things like sickness, poverty, etc., for which Jesus’ atonement provided redemption, but rather things like persecution (which we are not redeemed from) and the constant battle between our flesh and our born again spirit. The cross that we must bear is to take God’s Word (which is His will) and exalt it above our own will in each situation every day.

Ask According to HIS Will, Believe, Receive   Leave a comment

And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that WE HAVE the petitions (request; things asked for) that we desired of Him. 1 John 5:14-15

Healing is God’s Will   Leave a comment

HEALING IS GOD’S WILL – From Andrew Wommack Ministries

Matthew 8:2, "And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean."

Leprosy was a hated disease and its symptoms are described in detail in Leviticus 13:1-46. This leper believed Jesus could heal him, but doubted His willingness to heal him. Jesus showed him His willingness to heal, and since He is no respecter of persons, He established a precedent for us (Rom. 2:11). This leper did not know God’s will concerning healing, but this is not the case with us. The Word of God is the will of God, and it reveals that it is always God’s will to heal.

Isaiah 53:5, makes it clear that when Isaiah said "with his stripes we are healed", he was speaking of the physical healing of our bodies. Jesus provided for physical healing as well as forgiveness of sins. The very word "save" (Gk.-"sozo") is translated "made whole" in reference to physical healing in Matthew 9:22, Mark 5:34, and Luke 8:48. James 5:15 says, "the prayer of faith shall save (Gk.-"sozo") the sick." Many scriptures mention the healing of our bodies in conjunction with the forgiveness of our sins. Healing is a part of our salvation, just as much as the forgiveness of our sins.

Nowhere do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone. In light of Jesus’ statement that He could do nothing of Himself, but only what He saw the Father do (Jn. 5:19 and 8:28-29), His actions are proof enough that it is always God’s will to heal. There are certain things Jesus suffered for us that we should not suffer. Jesus died for our sins so that we would not have to pay for them (Rom. 6:23). Jesus took our sicknesses and diseases so that we could walk in health (Mt. 8:17; 1 Pet. 2:24). Jesus became poor so that we, through His poverty, might be rich (2 Cor. 8:9). If God be for us, then no one can successfully be against us.

The Lord has made every provision for you to walk in all He has provided for you today. Don’t put it off a minute longer.

It Is His Will   Leave a comment

Good morning,

After reading the email from Joseph Prince (see the previous post),  I studied the verse it came with (Matthew 8:3; And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed).

One word that stuck out to me was "will". I looked up the Greek meaning and found this: to will, have in mind, intend, to be resolved or determined, to purpose, to desire, to wish, to love, to like to do a thing, be fond of doing, to take delight in, have pleasure.

One part of the definition that grabbed me is "to love". Then when I read the verse again, instead of saying "I will" I read "I love, be thou clean". We cannot doubt His love for us. Because He love us, His Son died for our sins. He took our curses; our sickness; our diseases on Him and by His stripes WE ARE HEALED because He loves us. Think about in the last post about how some think that God allow sickness or it’s His will because of some purpose. Now think would you want sickness to come on your child/children. On occasions when my sons were sick, I would look at them and out of my love for them I wished I could take their place so they wouldn’t be sick. The truth is Jesus  already took our place. He took our sickness on Him so we can be well. So now when my children’s or grand-child is sick, I don’t have to desire to take their place because He already took their place. Sickness is a lie from satan. It’s a lie because God said in His Word, WE ARE HEALED. If we are sick, it’s not from God, it’s from the liar. I’ve mentioned in previous post how the Lord began to show me this truth. I’ve heard others say that God allowed them to be sick so they can have a healing ministry. The truth is the Lord Jesus gave us His Spirit and every one of God’s children have the ability to heal. 1 John 4:17 tells us “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD”. As Jesus is, so are we. If that’s the case Jesus would have been sick prior to being able to heal the sick. Jesus didn’t take our sickness on Himself until He got on the Cross. So, when Jesus was walking the earth, He wasn’t sick. He gave what He was; Healing. Just like the scripture says, “AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD”. So since Jesus wasn’t sick, we shouldn’t be sick. Since Jesus healed others, we should. ALL OF US. If His Spirit resides in you, then you can heal. You can speak AND believe you are healed. If you have a problem believing, ask the Lord to send you someone who does. It’s all what and who we believe. Do we believe a lie, or do we believe the truth. God’s Word is true and truth. Peace and blessings.

It is God’s Will   Leave a comment

It is God will to heal, deliver and bless His children. It is God’s will for the world to be saved through His Son, Jesus Christ. The enemy satan IS a liar and if any of God’s children don’t think it’s His will to heal, that is the liar speaking. That liar is doing the same thing to God’s children that he did to Eve. We have authority over satan; he is already defeated. Don’t let him cause you to fear him and his lying words. When WE rebuke him in the name of our Lord Jesus, he WILL flee because he is a coward. If you are woman and you and your husband is having trouble getting pregnant, you don’t have to go to any fertility doctor because IT IS God’s will to give us children because that’s one of the things He created women to do – Give Birth. Again, it is God’s will to heal, deliver and bless us. That’s a truth we can rest in. Peace and Blessing to you and your family…

Do You Know The Jesus Of The Bible? – From Joseph Prince Ministries

John 14:7; “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Someone once told me that just because you ask God for something, it does not mean that He will give it to you. Quoting 1 John 5:14–15, he said that we first have to ask according to His will before He hears and gives us what we ask of Him.

Of course, we do not ask for things that are against God’s will or Word. But what is normally implied in the earlier statement is that we don’t always know what God’s will for us is—“what will be, will be”. But didn’t Jesus say, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father”? (John 14:9) This means that if you want to know what the Father’s will, mind, heart or attitude toward you and your family is, just look at Jesus in the Gospel stories.

So if your child is sick, is it God’s will to heal him? Well, look at Jesus and see how He ministered to children who were sick—the Syro-Phoenician’s daughter who was demon-possessed (Mark 7:24–30), Jairus’ daughter who was dead (Mark 5:22–24, 35–43), and the widow of Nain’s only son who had died and was about to be buried. (Luke 7:12–15) Jesus cast out the demon. He raised the dead. He healed them all!

Beloved, don’t say, “We can never know God’s will. Sometimes He heals, sometimes He doesn’t. He may bless us, but He may also take away our blessings.” The Jesus of the Bible never made anyone sick. He never made anyone poor. He made the little become much with 12 baskets full of leftovers. (Matthew 14:20) He gave a net-breaking, boat-sinking load of fish to fishermen. (Luke 5:6–7)

My friend, the Jesus of the Bible loves to heal, deliver, prosper and save people. This Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) And He says to you today, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” So you can know God’s will for you. You can see what He will do for you when you know the Jesus of the Bible and what He did.

Keep instructing the brethren to trust Me no matter what they may feel or see that they may have abundance in life, and freedom, and the liberty to serve Me above all things.  Yes, that they may have life and life abundantly.

Choose this day who you shall serve whether it be serving the desires of your own will or whether you would put My will above your own.  For these are treacherous times, and you must develop that secret place within you where you shall dwell.  It is a secret place that is full of My love, and My peace, full of My strength and My power.

I have made you a power house of dynamic strength for it is I who dwells within you, and the same Spirit that raised Me from the dead dwells in you, and I will quicken you if you stay close to Me feasting upon My word and basking in My presence.

This is how you are made strong.  There is no other way.  You must come before Me as a way of life for I am your life breath.  Yes, I am the air that you breathe.  You must not quench this life flowing within you by shutting Me out by putting other things before you.

I stress the importance of this time of preparation to store My word within you, to develop your shield to be able to quench the fiery darts of the evil one, and to ignite your sword that it may glisten with the strength to be able to cut off the head of the giant that may come against you.

I have called you My mighty warriors, and I have given you time to rest, to prepare, to get built up, but you must take advantage of it, and give high value to it.  Come before Me now that I can build you up.
