THE LAW OF FAITH – Andrew Wommack Ministries

Luke 8:45, "And Jesus said, ‘Who touched me?’ When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, ‘Master, the multitude throng thee, and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?’"

MATTHEW 9:18-20; MARK 5:21-34; LUKE 8:40-48

The multitudes were thronging Jesus. That is, they were compressing, and crowding in on all sides, so it seems strange that He would ask, "Who touched me?" Many people were physically touching Jesus, but this woman touched His power by faith. Many people in the crowd probably needed healing, but this person is the only one mentioned who received. The difference was the touch of faith.

If it was simply Jesus’ willingness to heal that determined whether or not the healing took place, then all of the sick in this multitude would have been healed. This instance illustrates that it’s not prayer that saves the sick, but rather the prayer of faith that saves the sick (Jas. 5:15).

Healing is governed by law and not by a case by case decision from God based on His feelings toward us. This woman received her healing by the law of faith before Jesus knew anything about her. Impassioned pleas to God will not obtain the miracle we seek. Although Jesus is touched by our feelings, it requires faith. It’s not because Jesus doesn’t know our needs or hear our cries that miracles don’t happen, but rather it’s because very few know how the law of faith works.

One of the main differences between a God-kind of faith and a natural, human faith, which everyone has, is that human faith believes only what it can see, taste, hear, smell, or feel. God’s kind of faith believes in things that cannot be seen. You must believe that you receive your answer "when you pray" – not when you see the thing you’ve desired. Simply put, faith is our response to God’s ability, made complete by our actions. Trust Him completely and, because you believe, your actions will follow.

Discernment   Leave a comment

Discernment: Given in July, 2012

In December 2011, while at a Christmas Church function, I received a gift from a lady who attends Church but has a demonic spirit in which the Lord Jesus told me. While at the party that was supposed to be a fun occasion, this lady was very unkind to me in subtle and hidden ways. I have never done anything to her, but on several occasions she was evil toward me. While at this party, there was a game played. Apart of the game was to give a sort of gag gift. The gift was something that a person wouldn’t normally get for Christmas, but it was something they could use such as Clorox. My gift was dental floss. When I received the gift I laughed and went on, but that lady was still being evil toward me, even while she gave me the gift (which she bought). I took the dental floss home, but every time I used it, it felt strange. It felt evil. I’ve used floss before and did not understand what was going on; so I let it stay in my home thinking I’d use it another time. Sometime later while my god-daughter was visiting and staying the night. She was supposed to be watching TV but I noticed she had a strange, uncomfortable look on her face. Although I never saw that expression on her face, I assumed she was sleepy. She eventually went to sleep and went home the next day. That next day I received a phone call from her mother stating my god-daughter told her she didn’t want to come to my house again because I have monsters. At 1st I was hurt because I always want my home to be a peaceful place for me and my family. A place free from all demonic activities. I also didn’t understand because I don’t allow certain things on TV, especially when my grand or god-daughters visit. The Holy Spirit told us it was from the gift I received from the lady from the party. The Holy Spirit immediately reminded me how I felt when I put that dental floss on my teeth. I instantly threw them away and prayed throughout my home with praying oil.

Another incident happened in 2012. It actually started in 2004 after we bought our house. While looking for decorative items for my new house, I found some nice small statues that I really like and they went with the other decorations. Actually, I was so happy to have these figures for three reasons. They were 3 African women figures that praised God that was the same color of the other decorations. When I SAW the three I was overjoyed. I put them in the perfect place; in my entryway, near a mirror and picture frames. After putting them in place, I stood back and looked in awe because they all went so well together. I was well pleased. These statues have been in my house for 8 years and each time I dusted them or looked at them I felt the same about them as I did when I 1st put them in their place. In 2012 I received a phone call from a servant of the Lord Jesus. However, prior to me receiving that phone call, when I passed by these figurines I felt something strange about them; but because they were something I loved and used to seeing, I dismissed the thought. I mainly dismissed the thought because of what I THOUGHT they represented because they were appearing to be praising God. As days passed, I continued to feel the same way when I passed by these figurines. And dismissed it each time. Well, when I received this phone call, Jesus gave His servant a dream about my home. She NEVER been to my home, but was very detailed about my home. She described my hallway, the tiles on my floor, the entryway, and those 3 figurines (shapes and color). The only difference was those figurines were larger than their normal stature. God showed me a vision of He viewed those statures and they were about the size of a standard man; maybe 6 feet tall. In the dream those statues were demonic. While still on the phone receiving God’s warning, I started throwing those figurines away. I also threw away the stands they stood on for those years. THANK GOD I RECEIVED THAT WARNING!!! Throughout this time I would see demonic images throughout my home and prayed in my home. Then I would see them again. I couldn’t understand why they were still there after I prayed. They couldn’t leave because the object they came in was still there. So after throwing them away and praying over my home, I felt peace. They were gone.  My mistakes were: (1) Buying something without praying over the item 1st. Then bringing it into my house; (2) Being deceived because they went with my décor. Bought them also because the women represented my race (Africans). And they appeared to praising God; (2) Not listening to the warning the Lord Jesus gave me prior to the phone call.

***Each of those incidents could have been avoided if I was in tune with the Holy Spirit and discerned those things and obeyed the Spirit of the Lord Jesus.

The Lord Jesus says, we as people get caught up in things we see with our natural eyes without discerning. My people have allowed things and people inside their spirit/hearts/minds and their homes without discerning who or what it came from. You eat things offered to idols because it was a good gesture or it looks good. You are ignorant of satan devices and think you know him based on your position or title. You are blind because of your title/positions, your pride and because it’s the norm. You fall for flattery from ungodly people. Yes those that are sheep in wolves clothing; but you don’t know them. You look at the outer and don’t come to Me to discern the contents of their hearts. You allow things and people to connect to you without discerning them and have allowed those demonic forces to come into you and My Church, My Bride. You are not being truly effective in My ministry for My Kingdom. You think you are doing My work, but you are doing your own. Discern yourself. Talk to Me and ask Me what you are doing. Examine everything about yourself with My help. I will show you and give you confirmation. Discern everyone. You have allowed that demon, jezebel, into My Church and she has taught My people to fall. They have fallen and you don’t know because they still come into the building. You have allowed jezebel to be connected to you and she feeds you with foolishness. You don’t realize you are blind. You have gotten caught up in what you see. You have gotten caught up in seeing the money and the works a person does. You allow people in without discerning. You are foolish… Repent and turn from all wickedness. Ask Me to open your eyes to the truth… I love you and want the best for you. I chastise those whom I love… Come to Me to get it right…

Joshua 6:18 (NKJV); And you, by all means abstain from the accursed things, lest you become accursed when you take of the accursed things, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

Deuteronomy 7:26 (NKJV); Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.

Genesis 27:23 (KJV); And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him.

Ezekiel 44:23 (KJV); And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Malachi 3:18 (KJV); Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth Him not.

Hebrews 5:14 (KJV); But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Galatians 6:1 (KJV); Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

More on Fasting   Leave a comment

After studying more on fasting concerning what is called the Daniel fast, the Lord showed me how people have taken a combination of Daniel 1:8-16 and Daniel 10:1-3 to come up with this false fast. The vegetable part is taken from chapter 1 and the 21 days is taken from chapter 10. In Daniel 10 it states that he MOURNED for 3 weeks. To be extra sure I looked up the Hebrew meaning of mourn and found it means “to bewail”. Bewail is to lament, to express deep sorrow. You may wonder I should have known what mourn means. But I wanted no room for satan to put dumb questions in my mind. You see, I’m so tired of being deceived by “traditions of men”. Anyway, as I was studying I thought “if Daniel was going on a fast wouldn’t he say it like others in the Bible”. The Lord told me he did, in which I found in Daniel 9:3 where Daniel stated clearly he prayed and fasted (Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes).

One of the things that I asked the Lord concerning that false fast was, why it affected my body (which I thought was a good thing). When I did that false fast I thought it was effective because I felt different in my body. Actually, the pastor of the church I attended would tell us if we didn’t feel it in our bodies, then we are not fasting. That’s true to a certain degree. The Lord Jesus told me that people get deceived doing that false fast because their body goes through changes. But the problem is that is all the focus was on. The Lord Jesus said it’s like when people go on a diet, their body feels the effect from that change in eating. In that false fast, you are eating but like a diet, you’re eating differently. True fasting afflicts your soul (Isaiah 58:3 and 5). But when you fast the difference is spiritually more than naturally. Now that I know the truth I now see how I never received anything in the spirit when I was doing that false fast. I now see the only thing that was affected was my body. It got to the point I’d look forward to do that false fast because I’d lose some weight. Now when I truly go on a fast the Lord calls me on and abstain from foods, I see more of a spiritual change. From August – September, 2012 I went on a fast based on Isaiah 58 standard and I began to see things in the spirit of God more than I ever had. I heard the Lord clearer than ever. And there was no question who was talking to me. So there is no such thing as what we call a “Daniel Fast”. A true fast is according to Isaiah 58. There is no pleasure in a true fast. When you have a cookbook giving you great and good recipes in this false fast; how is that afflicting your soul. I remember one year while doing this false fast I’d get excited about fixing some of those recipes. Not only that, I created some recipes of my own. I wasn’t afflicting my soul, I was pleasuring my flesh. Fasting is important. Look at all the things accomplished because men and women in the Bible fasted and prayed. Jesus’ disciples weren’t able to cast out demons because they didn’t fast and pray (Mark 9:25-29). Why do you think satan deceives so many in reference to fasting? Because he knows we will tear his kingdom down. All this time I’ve been a Christian no one has ever taught me about fasting. If the Lord Jesus didn’t remove me from the church that was allowing so much ungodliness, I would not have received the truth. It is so important for us to have our own relationship with Jesus Christ and not through people. The way to God is not through people, but through Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me). Finally, we have to discern every thing and every body. Just because a person say their a prophet does not mean they come with a word from the Lord Jesus. In these last days, let’s seek only the truth in God’s Word. That way we’ll never go wrong. Please check out the next post on discernment. Be blessed and free in Jesus Christ.

Fasting   Leave a comment

Good evening,

As I was preparing to go on what is called a Daniel fast, the Holy Spirit wouldn’t give me peace about it. I planned on my days and felt I was pleasing God. But I still felt no rest about it. I came up to some conclusions of my own and sought the Lord for direction on how to do the fast. He would not lead me on how to do this fast, but He guided me to study about it. Most of you may turn from this because it may appear to you I’m against fasting. Let me clear it up; I am not against fasting. Actually, in the past I was taught so many confusing things concerning the “Daniel fast”. So during my prep time, I told the Lord I want to do this right and want the truth about it. Then He directed me to study it in the Bible and I came to  that it was not 21 days as I always thought it was. Daniel did this for 10 days. Then I found out that Daniel only ate vegetables and drank water. I have to be honest and admit I had a hard time accepting this truth because of the traditions I was taught. So I said ok Lord, I’ll do 10 days. As I went back and sought the Lord on the direction to the fast I still had no peace. At the time I did not know what was going on, so I continued to pray to Jesus on what to do and for strength to carry out eating only vegetables and water for 10 days. As I was going about shopping for the fast, the Lord told me Daniel did not go on a fast, he chose not to defile himself by eating food from the king of Babylon. Then the light went on in my head and I became hungry for more of the truth. So the Lord told me to do some research on the truth about what we call a fast. I was so happy to receive what I found. I was finally at peace and joy just leaped inside me. It all made sense of the confusion I felt all these years concerning this false fast. I still had a hard time sharing with others what the Lord showed me. I thought about doing the fast that’s in the Bible and let others think I was doing this false fast. But the Lord got on me for that. He told me I will be persecuted for doing what was right. So with His help I was able to tell others the truth. When the persecution come, I at peace because I’m doing what is right in the sight of Jesus Christ, my Saviour. If I’m doing what’s right I know I’m covered by Him and He will bring me through the persecution. I want to share this website I found the same thing the Lord Jesus told me. We have to be careful concerning all these traditions we are doing and see if they are of God. So many things we do is out of traditions. And when someone comes and tell the truth, they reject it and call it evil because they don’t understand it. I have been on a journey of truth for months now with the Lord. I got so tired of being deceived and lied to I asked Him to give me the truth. It is hard at times because it is not what I’m used to. But I cannot deny it because it is in His Word. But I thank Him every time because He loves us so much He wants us to know the truth. The Bible warns us we are in a time where people will turn away from the truth and turn to fables. When we look around what’s in the world and we see so much that influence us to turn away from the truth. Sadly, it’s taught in so many churches. We need to seek God and Him only for sight. We cannot put our trust in man (see Jeremiah 17:5). We are only to put our trust in God. I know this is a long post, but exposing lies is very important. Too many of God’s people are dying in the spirit because of satan lies. Let’s help them and allow God to use us to expose satan lies and kill his kingdom. Be blessed in Jesus Christ.

Daniel 1

In the first book of Daniel we find a very significant occurrence in biblical history.

King Nebuchadnezzar captures the city of Jerusalem and the city then stays in captivity for a period of 70years.The city being captured does not come as a surprise, God had forewarned his people through His Prophet Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 34:1-2

When God released the Ten Commandments to His people He also released 631 laws and He asked His people to ensure that every law is carried out.

One of the laws was the year of the Sabbath. Which stated; every seventh year would be a year of rest. This meant; no one worked for one full year; you could not farm or be involved in any wealth accumulation. This law was hard to carry out, not realizing that the law states every year in default is owed to the Lord, the people started to default. This resulted in them owing God and this is what led to their captivity.

When king Nebuchadnezzar captured Jerusalem, he asked that all children of Israel who were wise be brought together. His objective was to teach them the Babylonian way of life and language. The king also appointed to them a daily provision of the king’s meat and wine, the things that he ate and drank was available to them as well. Now the kings did not live according to the law of God, they ate anything and lived hazardous lives; neither did they serve or believe in God the Father.

Now Daniel was devoted to God and followed the law earnestly, evidence of this is found in Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself”

There was no way he would accept the king’s meat because it was against the law of God. (Leviticus 11)

Daniel’s love for God is so great that he refused to allow the king’s diet to interfere with his standing with God. He was sold out to being obedient to God, so he refused the kings diet.

Daniel said “give us pulse to eat and water to drink”. Pulse derives from the Greek word Alfalfa which means vegetables. So his main diet was vegetables and water.

In the 2nd chapter verse 21 Daniel said he kept the diet right up until the first year Cyrus ruled. Cyrus ruled 17 years after Jerusalem was captured, so Daniel kept this diet for approximately 17 years.

The important thing for us to understand is that Daniel did not declare a fast; he chose to forsake Babylon and stay obedient to God. There is no mention of a fast in these portions of scripture. He refused what this world has to offer and chose God’s principles instead.

How then can we take this and turn it into a fast, if we say we want to emulate Daniel and do what he did then all we need to do is; forsake what this world has to offer and embrace Christ in fullness.

We need to be watchful and make sure we don’t fall for the doctrine of man but live the doctrine of God.

2 Peter 2:1                Titus 2: 1-5

The doctrine of God is there for the benefit of His Kingdom, any distortion of this doctrine means we are working against the Kingdom of God. Anything that is against Christ is an antichrist.

Daniel chose to live according to the law of God by keeping a diet, how can we turn this into a fast and then declare it as doctrine of God. This is the antichrist John warned about. Why don’t people go on a Jesus fast; could it be because Jesus ate nothing for 40 days.

It is much easier to abstain from food than to refuse this world.

Spend time in this word and ask God for revelation, there is no time to be religious. We need to be accurate and radical about righteousness. Although we are born into this world, we are not of this world. Let’s renounce this world and embrace Christ in a new way every day.

Remember Daniel did not fast; he refused what the world had to offer and accepted what God had to offer.

Quality verses Quantity   1 comment

This afternoon I was blessed to meet a woman who lives at a homeless shelter. So many times people look at them as not being blessed because they don’t have a home or money. At the leading of my Lord Jesus, I left a church who’s god was money, themselves, cars, houses, etc. They allowed the jezebel spirit to teach and deceive God’s people. They allowed people who operate with witchcraft to be over hospitality (who serve the food when events take place and serve the pastor, his wife and others water). While there I was taught outer appearance is of great importance. I was taught if you want people to know you’re called of God, you have to dress like it. I was taught more money means you are blessed. I was taught if the majority says it that means it must be true. I was taught to be great you have to have a college degree. I was taught to be blessed you have to have a big house or a nice car. I was taught many things, but the Word of God. But today I met a woman that had neither one of the things I was taught in that church. Today, I met an example of a true tabernacle not made by man (Hebrews 8:1-2; Hebrews 9:11-15). This woman has the Lord in her life and on her life. A homeless woman who currently lives at a shelter taught me to be thankful in everything. She taught me you don’t have to have a nice suit to be anointed by God. She taught me your outer appearance doesn’t matter. She taught me so many things just sitting and talking in less than an hour than all the years I was at this church. She taught me humility, love (the greatest power of God). I went there to be a blessing and was blessed. Father in  Heaven, THANK YOU… Thank you for sending your daughter to help me see You.

We have so many of God’s servants, doing His will outside of the church building. At that church I was not taught to be a disciple. Today I met face to face, a true tabernacle, a true disciple. Thank You Father for answering my prayers.

I am posting a Word the Lord gave me June, 2012 titled “Quality verses Quantity”.

6/26/2012 – Quality verses Quantity:

People put so much emphasis on quantity and neglect the importance of quality. We have quoted, “the bigger the better”.  That thought comes from the world (satan). Other ideas taken from the world (satan): “The majority is the strongest; the one with the largest amount of money is better than the one with less; a big person in stature is feared and/or respected.” We even have a quote, “If the majority says it, it must be true” or “only the strong shall survive”. All of these are deceptive statements from satan.  There are so many things that happen in the Bible that proves those worldly statements are not true and proves quality is surely better than quantity. Even in the church; those who give the most money is revered and respected above those who gives their little. Remember the poor widow in the Bible who gave her two mites (small coins) (Mark 12:41-44 (NKJV); Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much.  Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans.  So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury;  for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.”). In Jesus eyes she put in more than those who put in the most amount of money.

I’m not sure if you’ve experienced this. But in some churches you’ll notice how people respond in cheers when someone testifies about getting a house, a car, or a certain amount of money. But when someone testifies about God delivering them from a demon, it gets quiet. Not too many want to hear that type of testimony. What do you think is greater? Jesus tells us in Matthew 23:23 (NKJV) what is more important (Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone.) People put so much emphasis on the size of a thing. For some, God has to come with great and big signs and wonders in order for them to believe it’s Him speaking.

1 Samuel 17 tells us about when David killed the Philistine, Goliath, using a sling and a rock with the Power of God. The Bible says in verse 4, Goliath was six cubits and a span, which is almost 10 feet.  So many say David killed Goliath with just a sling and a rock. Saying that gives all the glory and power in David (a man). But David went in the Power of the Lord God of Host (verse 45; Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied). He went in the Power of the One who gave him the Power to defeat his big enemy. Through the Lord God, David used wisdom to defeat his enemy. Wisdom was his strength.

Another example of quality verses quantity; Saul was King and had more as far as things and wealth as oppose to David, who was a sheep herder. But David had the anointing of God on his life, which is greater than all the wealth Saul had. After Saul disobeyed God he was removed as king and God chose David. Several times Saul (while he was still sitting on the throne) tried to kill David; but it never prevailed. In the end, David became King of Israel.

Remember when I mentioned how the world feels concerning the majority group is the strongest. Well God shows us in 1 Kings 18:20-40 how His ONE Prophet, Elijah, had victory over 450 false prophets of baal that King Ahab and his wife, Jezebel appointed. The ONE true prophet of God challenged the 450 false prophets so he could prove who the true God is. (1 Kings 18:22-25 (NKJV);Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Therefore let them give us two bulls; and let them choose one bull for themselves, cut it in pieces, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it; and I will prepare the other bull, and lay it on the wood, but put no fire under it. Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” So all the people answered and said, “It is well spoken.” Now Elijah said to the prophets of baal, “Choose one bull for yourselves and prepare it first, for you are many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire under it.”) Note how Elijah stated “FOR YOU ARE MANY”. God’s one true prophet had victory over the many false prophets and in the end not only did God send fire down which proved He was the true God; but Elijah executed those 450 false prophets.

Now on the statement “If the majority says it, it must be true”. In 1st Kings 22:1-50. King Ahab wanted to know if he should go to war with the King of Syria. Ahab called for 400 false prophets to ask them what to do and they told him to go. King Jehoshaphat asked if there was a prophet of God they could ask. Ahab said there was ONE prophet of God, (Micaiah) but the King hated him because to he never prophesied anything good to Ahab. Ahab did send for God’s prophet, Micaiah. Prior to God’s prophet coming, the false prophets prophesied to the Kings saying in verse 12, “Go up to Ramoth Gilead and prosper, for the Lord will deliver it into the king’s hand.” When Micaiah got there, at 1st he repeated what the false prophets said. After the King told him to tell the truth, he told them this in verses 19-23; “Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. And the Lord said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The Lord said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.” Well, King Ahab ignored God’s ONE prophet and listened to the 400 false prophets and went to battle. Ahab died in battle (1 Kings 22:29-40).

In 1st Samuel 1, there were 2 wives, Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah provoked Hannah because she had many children and Hannah had none. In those days the more children you had, you were looked upon as being blessed. Hannah continued in prayer asking God for a child. She did not give in to Peninnah’s negative attitude. God blessed Hannah and she gave birth to a great prophet of God, Samuel. So with Peninnah many children to Hannah’s ONE son, she was indeed the one blessed. Hannah was so grateful to God for blessing her with Samuel, she gave her son to God so he can serve Him.

Please read the other scriptures concerning quantity verses quality. Be blessed and remember with God, His Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, you are the majority.

Isaiah 31:1-3 (NKJV); Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, and will not call back His words, but will arise against the house of evildoers, and against the help of those who work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out His hand, both he who helps will fall, and he who is helped will fall down; they all will perish together.

***EGYPT represents: World, Worldliness, Bondage, Idolatry, Slavery, and CAPTIVITY

Luke 9:51-56; Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.

***One thing we cannot forget is when you believe in quality as oppose to quantity, you’ll have humility. Getting caught up in quantity causes you to be prideful. Pride is very deceptive and dangerous.

Proverbs 8:13-14 (NKJV) says; The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength.”

Proverbs 11:2 (KJV); When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

Proverbs 16:18-20 (KVJ) says; Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.

Webster definition of pride and haughty:

Pride – An unduly high opinion of oneself. Haughtiness; Arrogance.

Haughty – Having or showing great pride in oneself and contempt for others. Arrogant.

Psalm 10:1-11 (NKJV); Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You hide in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; he blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.” His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. He sits in the lurking places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed on the helpless. He lies in wait secretly, as a lion in his den; He lies in wait to catch the poor; He catches the poor when he draws him into his net. So he crouches, he lies low, that the helpless may fall by his strength. He has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”

The Road to Emmaus – Luke 24:13-27   Leave a comment

Please watch this awesome 30 minute movie concerning two disciples encounter with our Master, Teacher, Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ.!

Luke 24:13-27 (NKJV);

The Road to Emmaus

13 Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. 16 But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. 17 And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” 18 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?” 19 And He said to them, “What things?” So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” 25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

MERRY CHRISTMAS   Leave a comment

Today is the day set aside to celebrate Jesus’s birth. He came on earth to be the New Covenant between us and our Father. Without Jesus, there would be no way to the Holy, Heavenly Father. Jesus is our Mediator; He is our Redeemer; He is the Messiah; He is Immanuel (God with us); He is Lord and risen Savior. Jesus came so none would perish, so let’s use His example and walk in Love, Grace and Mercy. As we think about gifts, let’s give Him to everyone, even our enemies. Let’s give His Love, Grace and Mercy. Let’s forgive others of doing us wrong. Let’s remember their sins no more as He does for all mankind. Let’s say what He did on the Cross – “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” The Lord’s disciples Stephen followed in His example by saying “Lord, lay not this sin to their charge” as he laid dying for ministering the Gospel to those who killed him. Jesus is the gift that keeps on giving. So for the rest of the year and your lives, please give the most powerful gift you can give, JESUS. Be blessed in Him, always.

Isaiah 9:6; For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Hebrews 8:7-13; 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 10:11-18; 11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
